Why Solana?

Solana and the Solana community have grown over the past few years to prove themselves as a high-performance decentralised blockchain that is built to enable scalable, user-friendly applications. Solana can handle 50,000+ transactions per second, has 0.4 second block times and has over 4000 validator nodes at the time of this writing.
The average transaction cost on the Solana Blockchain is $0.00025 USD which is a huge selling point and extremely useful in the context of play-to-earn games; not only because of the potentially high volume of transactions needed to support the games, but also because players do not want transaction fees to negatively impact their earnings.
Solana has launched compressed NFT's (cNFT) which enables game developers to create 69,420 for less than a $100. (see our Kin Pet Legends Battle Pets). This further enables us to Mint these NFT's at a cost for our users below $1. (We minted the Kin Battle Pets for 99 cents)
Open source SDK's and Composability is another reason we chose Solana. We have worked with and contributed to the , who have done a great job integrating all the latest technology stack across the Solana ecosystem into Unity games. This also allows us to integrate all Solana SPL tokens, provide Orca and Jupiter decentralised swaps in game.
A huge Solana ecosystem phenomena that has recently flourished is the amount of airdrops towards Solana users and ecosystem projects. We aim to partner with as many Solana ecosystem projects as possible, and organise airdrops for our Pet Legends players!
